How should a college educated 27 year old change careers?

I want to leave the hotel industry which I've been in since I was attending college and find a job using my B.S. in Marketing. What is a good direction to go and how can I best explain my desire to change careers without looking like I'm giving up?How should a college educated 27 year old change careers?
Depending upon how you have been employed in the hotel industry, it could be a big plus when trying to enter the marketing field. You have learned a lot about dealing with the public - and what the public wants.

Have you thought about looking for marketing work in the hotel industry? Or the travel industry? Use your work experience in conjunction with your college degree to make the transition a little easier. You're not giving up; you are looking to advance. How should a college educated 27 year old change careers?
You shouldnt have to 'explain' anything. Just go for it! Why should it look like you're giving up. Think of it as expanding your horizons. There's nothing wrong with growth and change- especially when it's for the better.
Hello dear,

I think you have to do some short- term diploma courses to gain knowledge about that course with practical knowledge. it's cheaper + less time consuming + you easily understand that subject and use it in your profession in any field. And I suggest you to do some good computer courses with diploma or certificates and try your luck. Because today the boom of IT courses is best to supporting you to do unique with your background and gives you the platform.

With best wishes,

To be successful in marketing one need to know the industry that he/she is trying to market.

I would suggest that you start with a marketing job in the hotel/hospitality industry. An industry you are already familiar with yet a role that uses your Marketing degree, not to mention you wouldn't be starting from completely ground up.

Best wishes.
